Search Field
Search field enables users to specify a phrase or keyword find it in the content without using navigation. Placeholder text hints to users what they can search in the particular area of the CMS.
Default Search
Sitefinity search field is placed above content in List view screens. Search results are displayed after user clicks the search button or hit enter.
Narrow by Typing in Selectors
Search fields can be used as filter by keyword for the content in the selectors. Results are displayed on keystroke after the first letter it typed. "Narrow by typing" fields have also a clear button if any text is typed.
Narrow by Typing in List Sidebars
Search fields can be used as filter by keyword in the list sidebars that show the siblings of currently opened item. Results are displayed on keystroke after the first letter it typed. The field has also a clear button if any text is typed.
