Action links trigger specific actions in the interface. They are used instead of buttons to minimize visual noise and conserve screen real estate. In Sitefinity they may have navigational purpose as well. Action links are enhanced with icons to enforce their meaning and to differentiate them from the regular links.

Navigation links are used in the sidebars. They can lead to other screens open modals or filter the content on the current screen. Some navigation links can be complemented by an icon. For example, to signify different views available for the current module. Always group navigation links by meaning.

Section Link
Used for in-page navigation. Enables quick access to specific section of the forms in the Create/Edit screens. Always used in groups as such navigation is displayed if there are at least five sections in the form. Last item in the group is always a "back to top" link.
